Pearl Bakery
102 NW 9Portland, OR 97209 (Map) Phone: 503/807-0910 Email: pbread@pearlbakery.com Website: Pearl Bakery In February 1997, Pearl Bakery first opened its doors with only a handful of employees, a small product line and little fanfare. We were one of the first businesses on our block near the edge of Portland’s Pearl District, one block from Powell’s City of Books. Since then, the bakery has grown with our vibrant neighborhood, and we offer our pastries, sandwiches, bread, coffee and tea to the growing number of workers and residents of the Pearl District seven days a week. Pearl bread is served on the tables of some of Portland’s finest restaurants, including Castagna, Giorgio's, Higgins, Tabla, Paragon, and Ten01, as well as neighborhood favorites like Henry’s Café, Lauro Kitchen, Caffe Allora, Everett Street Bistro, Three Doors Down, Common Grounds, Collosso, Pastini, and Bijou Café. Our loaves are also available every day of the week at gourmet grocery stores Foster & Dobbs Authentic Foods, Pastaworks, City Market, Whole Foods, and The Busy Corner. The bakery has gained national attention through several books and magazines, including Maggie Glezer’s Artisan Baking Across America, Nick Malgieri’s Cookies Unlimited, David Lebovitz’s Great Book of Chocolate, Gourmet, Bon Apetit, Martha Stewart Living, W, Northwest Palate, and USA Today. At Pearl Bakery, we strive every day to bake the highest quality breads and pastries, crafting them by hand using traditional methods and the finest ingredients. Our bakers and baristas take pride in all of our products, from the flaky croissants and crispy baguettes to the decadent chocolate bouchons and steaming lattés. Join us Monday through Saturday for continental breakfast, for lunch featuring sandwiches on fresh-baked bread, or for just an afternoon snack.
